One thing I found odd was that it is just the lower knuckle bushings that wore and not the uppers...or the a-arm..yet.. at least
I believe that's because with the shock/spring unit bearing the weight of the machine, and the shock acting on the lower arm, that's the main wear point. It's doing almost all the work. The top knuckle's king pin mostly just locates the wheel in a vertical plane. :)

Can you tell me what type of adhesive you used on the bushings? Will the Razr bushings fit both front & back on the cfmoto as long as they are cut to length?
I just used E6000 from Lowes. And yes, all the bushings have the same ID and OD. Just the length is different.

Thanks NMKawierider! I'll pick some up at Home Depot. I ordered 3 sets of the bushings and hopefully will have them by the weekend.

Remember to let the glue completely set before shooting any grease in it. If not it will just push the glue out. I let mine set over night, then work the arm while greasing it to lube all the way around the sleeve the first time. After that I always jack it up to get the pressure off the sleeve/bushing area you want the grease to flow to.

I got the new bushings today. Started on one rear wheel and it appears I'm going to need a couple of sleeves and spacers. 4 of them are wore pretty bad Can somebody tell me what the difference between a sleeve and a spacer is? They look exactly the same to me.
Secondly, does anybody know if the razr sleeves will fit the CFM? The dealer wants $61.50 for the sleeve that goes through the bottom of the knuckle?

BTW NMKawierider, I did glue the bushings in tonight. They would not have been tight enough otherwise.

The sleeves and spacers are the same thing. I guess size matters...lol. Anyway, I didn't need the sleeves but..the RzR sleeves take a 5/8" (I believe) OD, 3/8" ID ( be sure to double check) sleeve and you can buy that in stock form and with a grinder, cut them to the length you need or take them to a shop and have the, cut them on a cold cutter. Even better. They all just have to fit snuggly between the frame or the a-frame mounts. Get your measurements from there. Here is an example. These are 6"s long. Probably too short for the front uppers but plenty long enough to be cut down for the others. 65 bucks will get you 20 of these.

I ordered this kit.  Sleves fit perfect in diameter.  I did have to trim the length on a couple

I took the sleeves to the polaris dealer and they matched them up with the razr sleeves which they had in stock. At $90 for enough to do both sides, and I'll be able to go for a run this weekend, I'm happy!

I had to cut 1/4 inch off the length. The bolt in the longer sleeves in the bottom of the knuckle fit perfectly. However, the shorter sleeves have a 3/8 id but the bolt is 10mm (maybe a Canadian thing?) and wouldn't fit through the sleeve. Luckily, my cousin lives a 1/2 mile up the road, is a machinist and has a small milling machine in his basement and he bored them out and cut them for me. They fit perfect now.

Chuddly, did your bolts fit through or did you have to drill them too?

Good to know about the 3/8" ID sleeves.

Hi all, can the bushings and sleeves be bought from cfmoto.. My new 2017 z800 with a 100 miles has play at bottom rear ,where arm ties to lower real wheel support. I can move the back wheels back and forth. . Only rode it one time so far.lol  I called dealer service department today and they said a little play is normal ??? . Oh the front and back bushings look black

Your problem may not be the bushings...but are the bolts tight?  If not it can egg shape the holes where the mounts are.  I welded 2 sets of washers to make a "bushing" there to give it heavy metal  to ride on.

Yes the bolts are tight . I greased them up and that took most of the play out.  I did have a loose front upper control arm bolt. The welding of washers is a good idea but im worried about voiding the warranty. I have a 4 year warranty deal but it may not be worth a crap. I paid a grand extra for it.. Though id just put new bushings in and check for play. Then if i have a problem send it in for warranty work..

Your installing these American Star bushings discussed above?
Yeah but I am replacing the lower rear knuckle bushings as they already have some play at 800 miles. All the bushings are the same except the length so I bought a set of fronts because they are the longest and can be cut down as needed. I'll post my findings. Let me confirm the fit too. These are what I bought.

Will these work on a 2017 zforce 800 . From what i gathering i just have to cut the length to fit bottom back wheels. Mine has play with only 100 miles.
thanks
