Hey guys, got a question about the sliders, I know the stock rollers are 25 grams, have any of you tried using the sliders in the stock weight? If it helped bottom end and top end as they claim, I like the shift qualities now, seems good for the riding we do but if the Dr pulley sliders gave it more top and bottom and kept the original shifting.

Well, I wend to a lighter slider for altitude and larger tire reasons and like the action of the sliders over the rollers far better. I think Jogon30 went to the 24gram and loves his too. Both of us are in the same area and both are now on the B2 position on the clutch. I'm sure someone has used the 25gram sliders and will chime-in.

Hey NMK, maybe some will chime in, I'm thinking of trying the 25's but if it's not going to make any difference what's the point.

Well..what would you be looking for? With the 25s it will shiftout about the same as with the 25 gram rollers but the sliders do back-shift better. And regardless of weight they do travel farther in both directions so you will have a little lower starting ratio and your top end will increase..maybe 4mph. Not cheap though...I know.

Hey John, I kinda like the shift qualitys now, but I was thinking if the sliders that were the stock weight would give it more bottom and top end, it would be worth a shot.

Dr. Pulley claims that you can go 1 gram lower, 24g and not lose top end. If you are staying mostly stock, and want to just move the shift rpm up a little, might be a good place to start. If you really want the rpms to stay where there at than the 25g. Are still better than stock. Might want a little more back shift too. You could try A1 or C1 the secondary.

if you are staying stock , im just telling you what i did for the 27 inch tires i used , i am getting out the gate with all kinds of power and still keeping my top end , but i am runing a bigger tire , some times 28s some times 27s according how big the holes are and how deep the mud

hi all
i got confused with all the clutch setting, can some one please explain the connection between roller shape/weight how its effect what?
how the clutch modification effect the low or high point?
are all this changes can damage the motor? or cause more amortization?
Thx

Best thing to do is study-up on CVT systems and how they work. There are also many videos on YouTube on this subject as well. Seeing how they work  is easier then reading about it.

I got mine from ebay. They are sold by "Scooter Assassins".  What gram are you looking for and for what machine...and I'll see if I can find them for you.

I feel that with my secondary at C4 with stock weights, my Z8 is clutched about where it should have been from the factory. I think, when I get some sliders, I'll drop a couple of grams to make it feel a little stronger with the 30s. I still may try stall springs for a Grizzly, to see if they will fit.
