Well the saga continues, took my wife out today for a 25 mile trip and something started to make a noise which got worse and worse, my first thought was a joint on a drive shaft had failed but they looked and felt fine, then I thought it sounded like some teeth had broken in  the rear diff.
When we finally arrived home I found out I have a noise when in neutral, if I rev to about 1500 rpm she's making a metallic crunching / rattling noise so I think some thing has broken in the gear box.
I have to say I'm thoroughly  fed up with her as it's looking like another engine strip down just 200m since she had an engine rebuild.
Utter shit

Oh man, that really sucks I feel for you. That will be the first I've heard of a transmission failure in them if that's the case. I hope its something stupid and easy.

Thanks guys, I'm going to pull the cvt cover off first if that's all good the wet clutch cover can come off, if that's all good it's a complete engine strip again.
I only went for a trip around our land and gave her one boot full of throttle, didn't notice any thing bad until about a mile later she made some funny noises, I thought it may of been the hand brake binding so I loosened the adjuster, but she slowly got worse to the point I didn't think we would get home.
I will have a look next week as we are going on a weekend break this weekend.

I will up date as soon as I know more

I treat mine like a baby and she still has some major breakdowns, there's something very wrong with the quality of CF Moto.

Just had a look through the front cvt vent, does anyone have a picture of what I should see through that vent, it looks like something maybe wrong with the new secondary pulley I have fitted, mine looks too far over to the right side and it maybe hitting the cvt cover

In my How-To videos on Clutch R&R there are some shots of the secondary installed....and no, it should not be hitting the cover. Did we..forget to torque the retainer nut.. maybe..? :)

Ok thanks I'll have a look, no I'm 100% sure the nut was torqued correctly  ;)

I know the outside sheave edge is so close to the fixed-case side that you can't get the belt between it and the case so..if it has say more then your finger's width..may be something wrong.

That's a relief. I think that's the first bad CFM belt I've seen. Hope that isn't a Gates belt..:)

No it's not a gates but I have one as a spare, are they no good ? I might just use the gates for a quick test, just to make sure nothing else is wrong

Oh I think the Carbon-cord G-Force Gates (40C3691) is probably the best option for the Z next to the OE belt.. so..go for it:)
