CF MOTO Uforce 800 EPS 2015 running hot
« on: July 15, 2017, 02:43:58 AM »
Hello,
I need some help with my CF MOTO Uforce 800 eps, yesterday I rode it and it was running hot at 6 bars. The fan would continuously run when it kicks in at 3 bars and would only drop it to 4 or 3 bars and will raise the temperature again.. Please tell me what I should check.

Thank you very much in advanced.

I'm not sure what is the source of the problem. I would make sure the radiator is clear and the pumps working. I  wonder if this adjustable thermostat might work. Something like this, guys with canams have used with success.

I'm confused. You said it kicks in at 3-bars and drops it 3 or four bars but I think you meant it kicks in at 6 bars and drops it. If that's true, the its either a bad thermoswitch (fan switch) or very low coolant. When cold remove the radiator cap. If low, fill to the top while running and run it until there are 4 bars showing. If the fan hasn't kicked on by them shut it off and replace the thermoswitch.

We had a similar problem.  The dealer had to replace the thermoswitch.  He said that he had already had to replace them on 4 other CFMOTO 800 machines that week.  Since the replacement it works fine.  We rode 90+ miles yesterday with no problem.

temp gauge could be off too? I assume that runs off a different sensor than the thermoswitch since all that does is close a ckt right?  I have a laser thermostat that I use to check actual temps they are cheap and would help with this sort of thing so you know what the actual temp is
