Our UForce 800 central console gets extremely hot - even to the point you can't touch it.  The engine temp is at 3 or 4 bars and the fan works ok (after we got the temperature sensor replaced!).  Does anyone know how to cool this off?  We ride in 85+ degree weather sometimes and the heat in the cabin goes up over 100.  We do have a vented windshield which we need to try to minimize trail dust.   Any help is appreciated!

UForce cabin construction is probably a little like the Zs in that heat comes in from lots of different areas. On my Z, I found lots of heat from the radiator pouring in from under the dash so I sealed that off with foam. I have a write-up on that. Then heat was getting in from the hole in the firewall where the steering column goes through. Made a 3-walled shield for that. Stopped 90%. Then heat was coming up through the hand brake lever. Put a boot on that. Then found other holes like seat belt mounts and other places I filled with memory foam chunks. Also used some auto heat shield & sound deadener on as much of the back cab plastics as possible.  Now at least I can ride with my flip windshield down most of the time and not roast.

It's a process...just find and seal and you will get it cooled down to a reasonable level...some time...

Yep. like he says, I got about 90% of the heat, dust, and noise to go away by sealing off from the rear soft window curtain into and under the front seats on my U 800. Used foil lined bubble wrap insulation from home depot and extra foil tape in high heat areas, also lined the inside of the plastics around the air box. The noise control benefits alone were worth it. Behind and under the seats just needs to be sealed up.

I wrapped the exhaust. Helped a lot on my Uforce.
