General Discussion / UTV insurance
September 06, 2023, 11:05:38 AM
Just wondering what coverage of insurance you have for your UTVs.  Theft?  Collision?  What companies have you found that offer decent rates?

Thanks.

Guess I'll just have to jack it up and see where the heat might be entering the interior.

There is a LOT of hot air coming into the interior of my 2022 ZForce 950.   Seems to be coming from the center console area. Is there any way of correcting this? I have a windshield and a rear window, both with vents but this doesn't help much.

Thanks

General Discussion / Questions regarding UTV tie downs
November 06, 2022, 02:03:29 PM
I have a CFMOTO 950 that I will be transporting on a 6'x12' flatbed utility trailer. I plan to use tire basket type straps attached to E-tracks. My question is, what is the best location for the E-Tracks in relation to the tires? Should they be lined up with the centerline of the tire or off to the outside or inside of the tire track? Was wondering if pulling the tire straps to the inside or outside of the tire centerline would be an advantage.

Thanks.

General Discussion / Re: Recommendation for UTV cover

I don't believe there is a soft cover that should be used for transport. Anything that flops in the wind will wear on the paint or plastics. Just a fact of life. Also tears happen from material fatiguing in time and then they just blow off. Best thing if you want to protect it while in transit- buy an enclosed trailer or toy hauler. Otherwise cover it when you get to where your going.

I think you're right. I would have to put a soft blanket (moving blanket) over the windshield and painted surfaces and then put on the cover. And then hope that it stays in place during transit.

Thanks.

General Discussion / Recommendation for UTV cover
October 26, 2022, 12:26:53 PM
I'm looking for a cover for a CFMOTO 950 Sport. I want it to be trailerable and for protection from the elements (although it will be stored under an aluminum canopy with no sides).

I found this cover and it looks good but would appreciate any suggestions.

Thanks

I have used moth balls in several locations on a pontoon boat and never have any problems with any critters.

Thanks to those who replied.

Staying with regular oil for the first 2 changes makes sense as I have heard (for many years) that regular oil is better for break-in than synthetic.

I'm looking at these filters from Amazon but don't know about the quality. Any comments?  amazon.com/Yslmotor-2-PACK-ENGINE-CF-MOTO-0800-011300/dp/B092Z9J677/ref=asc_df_B092Z9J677?tag=bingshoppinga-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=80195758656902&hvnetw=o&hvqmt=e&hvbmt=be&hvdev=c&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=&hvtargid=pla-4583795277992220&psc=1

General Discussion / New CF Moto owner looking for help
October 15, 2022, 08:39:03 PM
I'm a new CF Moto owner (2022 950 H.O. Sport) and have a few questions that maybe you could help me with:

1.  Which service manual do you recommend for this vehicle? I found a digital one but would like to know what you guys like.

2. The owners manual states that the valves should be checked and adjusted at the 20 hr break-in service. Have you found that this is really necessary? Will the valves come out of adjustment that soon? Is it worth it to have the dealer do it? I have been adjusting valves for years so that's not a problem.

3. The manual states to use 10W-40 oil but doesn't specify synthetic or dyno. Any preference?

4. What seems to be the best oil filter and air filter for this machine?

5. My machine did not come with a horn. Been looking for a switch to fit in the dash but am not sure which one would work. Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

Just took delivery of my first UTV. Got a 2022 950 H.O. Sport. Although I've had an ATV for 16 yrs this is my first UTV. Should be interesting to see how it handles in the No. Idaho winters.
