Put the battery on a charger just now. I tried to start again and all the lights flash and I'm hearing some clicks.

Only issue is it does expose the batteryare there any covers to buy that would cover the battery while not using the back rest?
Normally it will depend on the power and weight of the towing vehicle. Without trailer brakes usually one doesn't want to exceed the weight of the towing vehicle..which in this case also includes the operator. It must also include the weight of the trailer itself so...how much does that 6x10 weigh? As for power...well..I guess if you start burning-up belts or has a problem moving or going up hills even in low range.. one could say it's overloaded a bit. Load on the engine also has to include the load on the tow vehicle which includes the operator, any gear and the weight on the toque. The difference between 800 and 1000 pounds is minimal and won't make much difference especially if the travel-zone is level. Be mindful of the toque weight as these are having issues with bending hitch and sometimes frame parts. Good luck. On a side note I've seen people pull insane things and get away with it. Safety first though.
The accessory or USB plug should be keyed.
Let me see if I can explain this. You will come from the positive side of the battery to the line side of the relay. Then to the positive side of the grips from the load side of the relay. The coil positive post of the relay will be tied to the acc keyed power line. The ground side of the relay coil will go to the frame...or any ground as will the ground side of the grips. Simple. That's the only way you are going to tap 15 amps. Here's what that looks like.Nope. You don't have 15 extra amps on that lighting system. You will toast it. In fact you can't get 15 extra amps from anywhere in the system. Now that little relay coil will only pull about .027ma so it's no issue. The load side will be straight off the battery.Normally I would say use the acc plug but it's only a 10 amp. For 15 you will need to run to the battery but...you could use a relay triggered by that keyed acc circuit. That way its off when the key is. Simple install and most relays are good for 20 amps.
Would doing a fuse tap for the fuse for the screen work. Just do the fuse tap for 20 amps. Like I said it's tight under there and I for small hands lol.
So better go straight off the battery then with a relay? New to wiring stuff like this.
