In the future only compress it enough to get the cir-clip in or out. For now get some pressure back on it and tap from the top down not on the sides as you back the compressor off..and get some lube on it.

That is very dangerous. When it releases...and it will..it will shoot straight off the end. Put the puller back on and make it 180 from where you had it and press down a hair. Then while pressed spray a little WD or PB on the spindle and tap around while backing the compressor off a 1/4 turn at a time.
You do have the spring in it...right? What is it clocked to?

It usually isn't the key. Rather the head piece that's bound to the spindle. I also see your spring compressor isn't on 100% straight as well. Release part of the pressure on the puller and tap gently around the head. It should pop-up. Release the compressor a bit more and do again if necessary until it buts-out on the cir-clip.

General Discussion / Re: Update On Parking Brake For Gen 2 Zforce
« on: May 03, 2024, 09:10:01 AM »
Has anyone else experienced a spongy brake pedal after the installation on the parking brake and new calipers?   Dealer said they bled the system and I also re-bled them twice.  Still the pedal seems spongy and travels closer to firewall.  I did the two man bleed process where one is pumping and the other is releasing at the nipple.
Never going to get all the air out doing it the conventional way on these unless you are super-human fast. It needs either power-bled or reverse/back bled.

Dust tray? You mean the KWT Separator doesn't eject the dust like the S&B does? I guess that the cost of not having a blower. Overall how did it do? Did the air filter stay pretty clean?

Test the engine speed sensor..aka crank position sensor. Physically take it out after ohm testing to inspect the pickup for debris. Common on many other models.

Odd noises should always be reported and check-out by the dealership...IMO.

Just guessing but one thing, I would suspect as the intake size on the 800 and 1000 is different(one being 2.25 and the other 2.5), the exhaust pipe size may /would be as well..the other might be that physical length and size...and mounting may be different as well. We may need people with these two machines to take some actual measurements.

Then also check for water in the fuel filter.

I had a similar problem with my 2015 and my 40oz except it was too large and too shallow to keep it in place. Same for my wife's 32 oz. I was able to sleeve both.. with PVC pipe for mine and some rubber tube for hers and now they stay put.

Sounds like several things are afoot here but let's address the speed first. You said this happened right after hitting some water so first start up front and check all the connectors especially the ECU. Then check the fuel pressure compared to what the manual states and check the tank check valve. Also check the battery voltage while off and sitting a while -v- running. Should be 12.4-12.8 sitting and 13.7-14.5+- while running.

ZForce 800 EX, 53 & Trail / Re: Aftermarket muffler
« on: April 29, 2024, 09:10:11 AM »
If the exhaust fumes are that rich then there is something going on with the engine or maybe a leaking injector and that would have wasted the catalytic converter. These normally run very lean so..need to look into that as well as the exhaust donuts(gaskets)and springs. Leaking on any of them will send fumes into the cab. As for the gas smell, have to inspect every inch of the system and tank for wetness. Might even see if the tank will hold pressure...and if the new valve lets air in when pulling air out. Also make sure the muffler is free-flowing. Not sure how you got the converter out of it but maybe there is something still there that's offering some restriction.
