Zforce 950 broke frame
« on: March 29, 2023, 11:47:22 AM »
I had an accident with my 950.  crashed and tipped it over. Bent the upper roll bars and front bumper (most obvious damage).  When the local shop (where I purchased it) took some plastic off, they found the crack indicated in the pictures.  They are telling me that their only option is to replace the frame.  This would be hugely expensive.  They don't have the capability to repair it.  I feel the location is worthy of being repaired. Do I take this to a body shop for repairs or try another offroad shop?  Any advice would be appreciated.  I never got insurance...  so a couple mistakes happened - crash and no insurance.  I'll fix the latter after all this is done.  I'll take advice on insurance preferences too.

Oh that's not bad.. I would just fix that. That's just the upper pillar supports for the cage. The main lower frame...the important part..is likely just fine. Any frame shop can re-align that and weld it. I would have them beef-up that area a bit as well...both sides. Probably have to either buy the new cage..or have a custom one made for it though. Or maybe the frame shop can fix that too. You do all the R&R work though to save some time and money.

I wouldnt hesitate to have that repaired.
Like NMK said have some gussets added on both pillars.
that should weld up better than new, just needs cleaned up properly and realligned.
