Hi all,

I recently bought a new 2014 CForce 800 from a dealer out of state in the US and had it shipped to me. I think I'm missing a few things but wanted to confirm from you guys if the things I think are missing should come with it or not. Essentially I got:

• The ATV
• A winch with no hook or strap
• A Funnel in the rear compartment
• A trailer light converter (round to 4 in line) under the seat
• A key for the ignition and a key for the gas cap.
• A signed Conditional Sales Contract

I feel like I'm missing at least the following:

• User/Owner manual
• Certificate of Origin
• Some sort of certificate of warranty
• Title - It's from Georgia not sure if GA issues titles or not, so I could be mistaken on this one.
• Hook and strap
• Set of basic tools
• Should the rear compartment have a gasket to make it waterproof?
• 2nd set of keys
• Side view Mirrors

If anyone can confirm if the things I think are missing are in fact missing it would be greatly appreciated. I want to sound like I know what I'm talking about when I confront the dealer about the missing items and make sure I'm not missing anything.

Yes you should have gotten all of that. Not sure about the gasket and the title you mentioned. In the photo you posted of your new 800 the rear view mirrors were on it in the photo. Call the dealer and have him send you the missing stuff.

Confirmed. Yes, you should have got all of those things you think are missing except a gasket.

Where to start...

First, the CForce 800 does NOT come with mirrors. There is also no gasket to seal the rear compartment.

ALL CFMoto models come with two keys. One with the black plastic cover, and one "plain" key.

They dont come with a title. They come with an MSO. The dealer is required to do the paperwork for you. The customer is NEVER supposed to get the MSO. The selling dealer, regardless of brand, is supposed to submit the paperwork to their state to have the title issued. In your case, the deler would send you a title from Georgia, and then you'd be responsible for transferring the title to your home state.

Was this unit sent in a crate, or sent to you assembled?
Was this unit new, or used, or a demo?

Never buy a unit with out seeing it first, and NEVER buy something with out dealing with the dealer in person. Unfortunately, you may be out to dry on this. You may have agreed to buy a unit as-is with no warranty, or things like an owners manual and missing winch parts, and not even known it.

Most importantly, there is a good chance this dealer isnt even a certified CFMoto dealer. If they were, they would have known that CFMoto STRICTLY forbids selling crated unassembled units to customers. All units MUST be assembled, and have a PDI done prior to releasing to the customer.

I'm very curious who sold this to you.

Thank you all for your help. They are closed Sunday and Monday so I'm going to give them a call tomorrow. It was sold new and assembled it didn't come in a crate. They are an authorized CFMoto dealer, I checked that on www.cfmoto-us.com

I found the winch hook, someone pulled it in too long or something and the hook was sitting wrapped up on the skid plate, no strap but I'm not concerned with that, they did bend the lower tie bar a bit when the hook pulled through. I found it when I was trying to change the winch with a Warn (the warn was too wide but that's a different discussion). My biggest concerns are getting this thing titled in Vermont and the warranty. I did clarify in writing that the sale came with the 1 year manufacturer warranty. I may just be overreacting and should expect to see a title in the mail in a few days. Do the dealers file the warranty with CFMoto on my behalf as well?

I'm going to hold them to providing me mirror's since it was pictured with mirrors on it. I don't think I really care about the mirrors or would use them  but I may like them and won't know until I try. Also if I don't like the mirrors I can store them and whomever I sell this to in a few years may like the mirrors .

I'll let you guys know what ends up happening. For now I'd rather not disclose the dealer, I want to give them a chance to make things right first. I'm still hopeful.

I wanted to post a quick update. I just received my Certificate of Origin in the mail so that is a good thing, I can get it titled and registered to me. I'll let you know what I find out from the dealer when I give them a call tomorrow. This was my biggest worry.

Mine did as well. Maybe it's a Canadian thing? All the CForce 800 I have seen came with factory mirrors.

What good is the winch with no hook I would call

I ended up finding the hook so all good on the winch. Someone had pulled it in too far right through the fairlead they bent the tie rod a bit and the hook was on the back side of the drum where I couldn't see it.

The dealer is sending me the missing items and is making everything right. So far I like the machine a lot, I have a ride planned this weekend and I'll post some pictures.
