Hi, I want to improve the ride confort of my ZForce 800 trail 2015. My machine have wheels spacer and sway bar removed.

I want to keep the very great handling and high speed ride quality but need to improve the low speed confort and add a little plush at low speed.

Anyone have fitted others shocks on the trail ??
Shock from other sxs or atv ??
Anyone have the exact length of the front and rear shock ?
Any idea ??

John Ilkiw must be right close to your neighbourhood! Elka Shocks. Did great on my King Quad once I learned to set them up. (back the preload down so the shocks are riding neutral when they are IN the working range, not cranked up tight for maximum ground clearance so they are on top of their range)

Thanks.
I know Elka very well but to have real good shocks you need to buy the stage 4 or 5... way to expensive for my budget right now.

I know some of the Japanese sports ATV are high quality and can be buy very cheap.

If you find something, I'm all ears. I'm way past being ready to do something about these stock spring/shocks.  ;)
And those high end Elkas are awfully dear for my budget too.

I purchased the elka stage 3s after blowing my stock shocks two Colorado trips ago and I can tell you it is a big difference. I almost did the conversion from trail to ex but chose the elka route. Just an FYI I spoke with a gentleman at super atv a few weeks ago and they are in talks of making a conversion just like the wildcat trail long travel kit that will allow you to use stock shocks.

Good to know someone has put Elkas on a trail. Did you get them straight from Elka or someone else?

I installed Elka Stage 1 on a 800 UF 800, you don't even have to drive it. Just grab the cage & shake the thing.  8)

glenlivet, if you decide to try the Elka's let me know......I will get you a good price.

Did you find you needed to adjust the Elka's after you installed? & do you change them after you dialed in for various riding conditions?

I have run elka shocks on 3 of my previous ATV. Very good product. The stage 1 are good for recreational use but not strong enough for my type of riding.
I have had stage 5 in the past but this time I can afford it.

The shock on the LTR 450 or YZF 450 are very nice unit and I know some people use it on the RZR 800 with very great results

I purchased directly from elka. Didn't really need any adjustments went a couple extra turns on the rear springs when I went up to the mountains just bc I was carrying spare tire and extra fuel and didn't want to bottom out but it was night and day from stock.

Is it the same travel?
Do you have pic of them installed ??

Is it 1500$ cdn ou usa ??
It's way cheaper than my previous stage 5 and I have seen that the stage 3 are also fully ajustable.
What is the size of the rod ?
