Anyone know if you put the bigger stator in the 500w one if you have to get a bigger rectifyer/ regulator ?

Don't have to ...but some restrict the max amps that can be pulled through it so...I would guess if the PN for the rectifier for a non PS machine is the same as one with, then you are probably safe. Otherwise..well, you will need that rectifier/regulator as well.
