RZR 1000 seats

Started installing the seats today once I get them done I'll make a video and upload it. It's a little more work then I thought it would be but we'll worth it.

I am very interested in the outcome as the last two mods I intend to do to mine is...seats and shocks.

Love to see that as well, I'd have thought it would be as simple as just changing the bases of the seat.

 UPDATE...Just finished the bases tonight swapped the rubber feet and latch mechanism to the new bases still need to attach the seats to the bases then trim the plastic back panel tried heating it up and forming it into position but it didn't take well to that so trimming it is found a company that sells bases to swap 1000 seats to a 570 or 800 and there video tells you to trim the plastic aswell once that's all done I'll take it all apart paint and reinstall  should be done Saturday have the video up after.

Nice video and looks like a neat idea!

Two thoughts came to mind:

Were the rubber bumpers under the seat frame missing and is that why they were so wiggley?

Did you compare the price of having the original seats re-upholstered vs buying and installing the RZR seats?

No the rubbers where there and reused on new base and the RZR seats are more comfortable higher support

Man I just don't want to make more holes in the back plastics..been plugging so many as is to keep dust and noise out. Do you think there is any way possible to heat up enough area to form the indents it needs? I do have some major-heating devices..even a plastic weld gun from another project.

Maybe cut them out and just make some plastic "Cups" to cover them and plasti-weld them in. Must be room back there otherwise the frames would have a problem. I just want better seats...:)

Oh one other question..I couldn't tell if they did or not but does the seat edge bolstering stay inside the door or entry edge? I have doors that have to close.

Mine are 3inches from touching the bar down by your hip which should be plenty of room
