Project EX-Trail
« on: April 08, 2018, 03:51:21 PM »
Just finished converting my trail to an EX using trail shocks as I have talked about doing before! I used super ATV high clearance A arms and rhino axles a arms $299 for the front set and $299 for the rear axles $200 a piece! This could be done a little cheaper by picking up used a arms and axles off eBay! Inner tie rods and all four brake lines from alpha sports the inner tie rods come complete with inner and outer and are $120 a piece brake lines were $22 to $32 a piece only thing that sucks about ordering from alpha is the shipping is high! I also ordered the fender flares for the EX they were a little over $200 but the shipping from alpha was a little over $100 I had to do a little fabricating on the a arms for shock mounts then I fabricated some lift brackets to use the trail shocks and also get about too inches of lift! Hardest part was trial and error on shock placement mounted were trail mounts and the shocks are to soft mounting were ex mounts and shocks are to stiff but finally after a lot of trying I found in between works best! Can’t get pics to load anyone know the best editing app to resize them on I phone and I can upload pics!

what is it NMK the "BB" code that puts the image right into the message board? One of the links you copy will post the pic directly without even having to click a link.

Did the back shock line up or did you make brackets for those also?
