Which insurance company do you have and how much do you pay?

I'm currently with Geico and pay $40 bucks a month for a ZForce 800ex. Out of nowhere I get a letter in the mail from my credit union saying I don't have the necessary coverage, that I also need collision coverage. (do these vehicles even need that? they don't drive on the road)

But that would raise my insurance prices north $90 dollars a month. That's freakin car territory and just strikes me as completely unreasonable.
Thoughts on who's trying to get me, CU or Geico? any advice is appreciated.

Allstate - $310/yr full coverage. I was not as happy with that price as I was with their price when I had my quad insured with them. That was only $90/yr, but when I asked why the big difference, they pointed out that I had full coverage on not only myself but also a potential passenger, so it effectively doubled the price.

I still gave them a simply math lesson (90x2=180. 90x3=270  ??? so I may be shopping around if that price doesn't drop some next year.

Allstate along with my auto policy so it's only $18 per month for full coverage.

I'm not required to have insurance. I suppose it depends on your lender? I don't have any yet. I may look around. If I can get it less than $200/yr

It's required in PA for you to ride on private ride areas. I have a 6,500 acre ride area only 1.5 hrs from my house, and you must have some insurance on your ride to use their trail system. I don't need FULL coverage, but when it covers everything from a total loss via fire to theft/vandalism, why not pay for it on something that will take a serious beating over the years that I use it ? At $1,800 for a used but functional motor, if someone were to dump sugar in my gas tank, I could at least have an avenue of getting my ride fixed.

If you have a lien on the UTV most banks, lenders etc require you to have full coverage in case of damage or theft.  No different than auto insurance or a mortgage.  BTW i have Metlife and I pay about $25 per month for full coverage with 500,000 liability limits

From what I'm reading it sounds like I'm getting ripped off. Gonna have to shop around my Z8 and see if I can find something cheaper.

I just got 2 quotes. Progressive (which is the lowest for my motorcycle) $321/yr $1000 deductible full coverage. Foremost (lowest on my cars) $201/yr $500 deductible full coverage. Guess I'll be going with Foremost $17/mo for full coverage I guess I would be dumb not to.

If you live in DE, IN, MD, MI, NJ, OH, PA or VA I would recommend checking with Rider Insurance.  I got several quotes including State Farm, GEICO, Allstate and all were $600+ annual for full coverage with $500 deductibles.   Rider focuses exclusively on motorcycle insurance and I got the exact same coverage for $213 annual premium.
