The manual says there are two bleeder screws one for each cylinder. Is it OK to refill without cracking those and just letting the air purge out through the radiator fill? If you have to crack those two screws is there an easy way to get to them on the CForce 800 without tearing all the plastics off?

I was able to drain the coolant out of mine and refill it with no issue.  I just made sure to let it idle until the thermostat opened and coolant was flowing.  All of the air burped out in one fan cycle.

Just a side note. On the Kawasaki V-twin if you don't open the coolant drains at the bottoms of the cylinders, the coolant that is in there won't be changed as it can't drain out. It will just mix with your new coolant. So..it is my suggestion that if your intent is to get all the cheap factory coolant out and replace with 100% fresh, one should drain the cylinders.

I usually just drain out the coolant at a low point, refill with distilled water. Run it for a cycle or two, drain again...Repeat if needed to confirm flush. then drain and top off with favorite flavor of coolant.

Directing this question towards Emersonsc, but anyone can answer. Does the dealer add the coolant during assembly of the unit, or is that added at the factory ? Here's where I'm heading with my question - I am not very good at upkeep and maintenance, and the more comfortable I am with it, the more I will do it, as I get stressed out when I struggle to figure out how to do the simple stuff.
I'd like to see if I can have provided coolant (Engine Ice) added at the dealership, and I'd LOVE to help out in the back for the day to prep my SxS so I can familiarize myself with it. I understand if this is not possible, due to liability or insurance or whatever, but my dealer seems like a hands on guy, and I am sure he'd provide some assistance with the simple stuff (to him) if he can't allow me to be back in the garage during the prep of my SxS.

If not, I'll just crate it up, ship it to NMK in NM, and buy a plane ticket to NM. I'll provide him with enough beers, pizza and a fat roll of hundreds for his time and effort  ;D

LOL...that's some pure funny right there...;) You know, any of these...made by anyone...will require hands-on attention just because of the nature of the machine and what is being asked of it. In a very short time you will have the tools and the talent to take care of most anything that comes up.

Glad you think so, NMK, 'cuz my two got shipped yesterday, you'll see them in a couple of days, do me a favor & help them unload them, 'k? They have slips on them describing the 132 things I'd like to have changed mechanically; along with giant gift certificates for all your favorite restaurants & whiskey stores.  ;)

Also, just ordered 2.5 gallons of the ice.....will be installing it as soon as I can figure out where the plugs are on the bottom of the engine to drain it (HINT HINT Dr NMK....)

I'll take a look tomorrow but if needed, they are at the base of the cylinders and at the water pump.
