If it does not rev up in neutral well than there is a problem with the engine and not the clutches. I would start with the basics. Fuel, spark or compression. There is no warning light so I would think all the sensors are ok.

Fuel: try adding some treatment that removes water. I have had water in fuel from the pump before.

Spark: check the plug. What does it look like. Proper gap? Good spark.

Compression: valves might not be set right.

I can check the basics Cosmo, it is a new ATV (40 miles total), what about the fuel filter?

I would not think so with so few miles on it. If you can get it up to speed than you should be getting enough fuel through the line.

I'm also leaning towards the Throttle position sensor out of adjustment causing it to go lean or rich. The spark plugs might show this. I don't know how to check the TPS and hope it's a simple problem. If you cover the basics and don't find a fix, bring it to the dealer and make them drive it then fix it. Use the warranty, that's what it's for.

I will try to find electrics diagrams for this ATV, if i can find it and the TPS, I can measure it with a good ohmeter

Might also see if the throttle cable is too tight and not letting the throttle body close all the way to the stop. I discovered this makes a difference on starting as the TPS isn't in the correct position when the key is turned on. Makes it start hard and run funny..at least it did on mine today. Just make sure you have to move the throttle a little before it starts to increase RPMs.

The dealer can hook it up to a PDA and tell you in minutes if it's not right. I think outside of the basics bring it in if it's under warranty.

I bought two new candles, I checked the valve clearance is also normal, but still it is the same when you want to gently accelerate the turnover of 2500-3000 followed by a momentary throttling the engine and further already is well. What a strange problem does not occur when you spin the wheel a little more violently to the hampering of no.
