Thanks!

Someone posted the official service bulletin under this topic but it appears it was promptly removed.  I believe CFMoto is keeping the temporary countermeasure on the down low as it is a modification of the emission system.

The latest countermeasure for the "hot stall" issue is to disconnect the EVAP canister from the Throttle Body and cap the inlet to the Throttle Body.

The reason given is, when the engine is hot and the air temperature is 21C or more, the EVAP system can build so much fuel vapor going into the Throttle Body that the EFI system can't compensate for it.

I have a new to me 2019 800 XC with hot stall issue. Took it to the dealer and I told them about checking the valves and ECU flash.  Their fix..fouled spark plug and dirty radiator.  My quad gets washed after each ride and the radiator doesnt look dirty.  Im having difficult time finding the evap canister. while looking, I found a hose that is plugged off. Could this be the hose that goes to the canister?

I did the canister bypass yesterday and I already notice a huge difference in response . I haven't tested it yet on the trails but I feel like there is absolutely no puttering now and I feel pretty good that it's fixed will keep you posted . I'll send a picture in a minute of how to bypass, super easy.

canister is under the left rear wheel well. take off the rear hose and plug it. that's it.

Good to hear. I was getting gun shy as we are headed to the Ozarks National Forest is September and was worried about getting stranded.

I did the change 2 weeks ago and have put on 500 miles since then. The hot stall is gone. Made me fall in love again with the beast.

I do notice a pause in the throttle still when its 85 degrees and I've been riding long.

The pause is so brief and the engine never stalls. I think it is a combination of whatever is causing the brief pause and the evap hose being connected.

I did my change at the throttle body but I dont see any reason why capping off the hose by the filter wouldn't work.

Good luck and provide feedback on if you see the very small pause but no stall after the change.

I hear you!! I stalled crossing a highway and when I was on a big hill. Scared the cr*p out of me.

Thank you for posting this thread in the forum. You of all people need to get confidence back!

If you still feel a brief pause but no stall after riding long give feedback on that as well. I'll live with the pause given all the other great things about this quad.

I fully agree, these are awesome quads and I get a lot of compliments from other riders that spent A LOT more and got less of a machine.

Yes me too, until I stalled going up a hill in the middle of nowhere and we all had to turn back because of this issue.
I sure hope it's fixed now and my machine will live up to the compliments it gets on it's looks and power.

Good to hear. Keep us posted. Not many cforce 800 xc owners out there so I'm going to keep using this forum with the few here.
