Yet my wife's 2020 model will do 70+ plus

Are the newer models restricted else where

I think there is a break in period and will not let you go over certain speed..how many KMs.and does it beep when you let on the gas..

That could be possible.
I just did a 50 hour service, changed oil, that kind of stuff. General inspection and so on.
I was peaking out about 59/60 and I certainly broke that today.

I did change my tire pressure up a few pounds, too, which likely made a difference via less rolling resistance.
Went from 7.5 to 10. psi on that.
