Turbos to quiet the exhaust down some but i can tell you FOR SURE that the clutch in the CF moto will not hold up to that much more hp.  They just flat out are not designed for it.  You will roast a wet clutch in a mile or 2.  Will the engine internals hold...sure....right up until they dont hold anymore then your inside parts become outside parts and you regret your purchase.  If we were talking about a 10-15 hp gain i would say the clutches would hold but wear faster.  But at those kinds of gains...NO WAY.

Tea the dobeck fuel controller would be included in the kit. When saying the turbo takes place of the exhaust. It's just taking place of where the factory muffler is placed lol the turbo is fed from the exhaust. So the turbo would have an exhaust mounted off from it with a muffler provided in the Kit as well. I've got everything thought threw and figured out. I will be making a few kits soon. If they sell like I hope. I will produce a couple kits a week.

Yes it is. I am aware as marked as Z6 I was merely pointing out that someone was testing a turbo kit for the Cfmoto.
As soon as I see one posted on the v twin 800 I'll post that too.
I'm content with mine the way it is, I'd like to SEE a turbo one run, but wouldn't spend the money to make it turbo just to spend more on repairs.  Just no real need for the trails I ride.

So no need to add a fuel controller or different exhaust?
Or would those just make fine tuning it better?

Apparently it replaces the exhaust so..no muffler? That takes it off the trails I guess.

wouldnt be legal in MI, where we have noise pollution laws, spark arrestor laws, ect. Wouldnt be legal on the dunes either.

I'm head mechanic and fabricator at Mccoy Motorsports in pikeville ky, I've fabricated many and many turbo systems for most makes and models, to sport bikes, cars. You name it I've turbocharged it. The cvt tech clutches on the z forces can handle 150+ hp, but no worries I'm not looking to step it up
That high. Your talking engine management and forged internals. I'm
Not interested in that. I'm talked 8 psi on stock internals which is very safe, on 93 octane. Your looking at Close to 50% hp gain. Estimated. So 95-100 hp. It would not take up any engine space, it would simply take place of the factory muffler. Very simple design and very easy to install. Of course if someone wants an intercooler etc etc there will be done modifications that will need done but still a very easy process. I'm looking at $1036 in parts to make this kit work. Labor. Included $1450 $1650 estimated. Sale price $1800 $2000

I am very interested in a Z1000 Turbo kit. Please let me know cost with intercooler, want to do it right and have all the parts needed for it to work correctly and consistently.

Hey Johnny B cheers to you happy to see someone trying to improve on these machines need more guys like you wanting to bring more to the table I'd be interested in one for sure I'm with ya I believe it could be don't fairly easy there is plenty of room once that big exhaust is out of the way or moved .couple questions first the factory air box would it be used and how and would to just t tap the oil cooler lines for the turbo oil feed? And the kit your thinking off building would it be cappable of being swamped I bairy mine in the creek from time to time lol.
And to Emerson's concerns i agree I'm sure it will where the clutches faster that's a fact but so will running 30s and 32s and pulling buddy's out of holes everything wears clutches some more than others it's a give and take but to not do it because it's to hard on it f that maybe I'm alone here but she's not my daily driver when I take it out I beat on it hard cause that what it's for push the limit knock on the devil's door see how loud u can knock before he answers lol.
Good luck Johnny b. Hope to see and hear more soon.   Any idea on time it would take?
