What light is this
« on: December 05, 2016, 08:51:03 PM »
What light is the light to the left of the 4x4 indicator.  Looks like a water droplet with arrows pointing to it.  Is this the coolant level?  I can't seem to find it in the owners manual.  This light randomly flashes

That is the oil pressure warning light.  The oil change reminder light looks like an old school oil can.  Its the same symbol still used on cars today.  Below is a link to a post about it.  It had me confused too.

It would be really nice if they had it in the damn manual. The one online there is a page that tells you this is the oil pressure light but they fail to give a damn photo of it!! It flashes randomly and I noticed it seems to do it when it does the stalling thing.

Sorry, yes it is Oil Pressure. I was seeing the RED MIL light when key is on but not running and go off when running. That indicator must be oil pressure. Check the level. I would also actually check the pressure...sometimes their sensors go bad...as we all know.

Then they have changed the cluster sense 2015 because my oil pressure light is in red and on the row of lights above the display....at least it is on the US version. The owner's manual but doesn't say what several things are and doesn't show the red oil pressure light with the rest of the descriptions.
Yes that is what I mean it has a page describing the oil pressure light, but it shows no photo. I looked at the row with the turn signals when I turn the key on, I didn't see one that looked like an oil pressure light.

If that light is coming on while the engine is running, you really need to check the oil level and test the oil pressure while the engine is running. If you truly have low oil pressure, you could destroy that engine. Mine came on once while running. The oil pressure dropped due to the dealer not changing the original oil filter and it was clogged up. Changed the oil and filter, no problems again.

Best case, it had to do with the fresh oil or maybe the 15w oil was too thick on a cold day. Better case, it's just the pressure sensor. Worst case, it's the oil pump. The manual you can download off this forum has instructions to test oil pressure and rebuild the pump. A little time and mechanical know-how and you can figure it out before having to take it to the dealer. Good luck, I hope it's an easy solution.

It did it before I changed the oil as well. this machine has 150 miles on it. It will go to the dealer for a warranty repair. The dealer has had this thing as often as it has been in my garage. I've had it 2 months. The dealer has had it for 4 weeks out of the 2 months I've owned it.
I know how you feel. I spent as many hours, if not more, working on mine as I did riding it. I hope this is an easy solution though. Keep us informed.

I took the machine back to the dealer Saturday, the service advisor wasn't in so I was stuck talking to the parts guy for write up, he wasn't really listening to me and did not write up what I said so I will have to call to clarify. ALSO before I was going to take it in. I started it and was running it in my garage. saw coolant drips... water pump is dripping from what appears to be the hose. I also decided to find where the area of this tick/knock noise is coming from that they told me was normal. I hear it at idle and it is constant doesn't sound normal to me. So I grabbed my stethoscope listened by the suspected clutch area, nope not there. Listened to the bottom of the engine case, nope not there. Listened to each of the jugs on all sides, the noise is clearly coming from the rear jug, passenger side, with the stethoscope it sounds very metallic definitely not normal in my world of mechanical knowledge... So I am giving that information and making them fix the damn thing or giving me my money back or giving me another machine, I've had enough.

So, I called yesterday to get an update. They haven't been able to get in contact with CFmoto technical assistance so it just sits....

I only have 2 within 2 hours of me I don't have much choice. They take it in right away which is good, I reserve judgement at this point.
