Cruisin' the gravel roads last night and I'm noticing a lot of heat coming through the opening for the gas peddle.  Assuming it's hot air passing through the radiator.  Anybody have this issue/do anything about it?  Was thinking of just blocking the hole.

I thought the same but the steering shaft passes through it so some boot might be an answer. In the meantime I made a box-type shield that's open on the bottom for the shaft to pass through. Helps a lot...not a 100% cure. Here's some pics..not great but you get the jest.

I went and bought cheap pool noodles and stuffed them everywhere to seal under the dash and around the steering shaft. Never put any around the gas pedal yet but man oh man did that help a lot.

I put in some plastic on both sides of the firewall.  In the radiator side, installed from top down, and in the passenger compartment, from bottom to up.  Works pretty well.
