Well I did it, yep, knowledgeable and dangerous here, kinda messed up a stud on a front hub a little.

Any one changed a wheel stud on a Z800? Is there enough room to tap out the stud and replace it without taking the hub off?

I have not but I just took a quick measurement with my thumb between the back of the stud and the brake rotor and it doesn't look like enough room. Bank on taking the hub off I'm afraid. No reason not to try though.

I have most of the tools ect to do it with just have to pick up a sock for the spindle nut and will give it a try.

Thanks for the info NMK appreciate it!

They tap right out. No need to pull it.
Atleast on the rear of my 15' Ex anyway.

My rears were so tight, I thought mine would break, luckily they didn't :)

Just changed one out on the front right. Didn't have to remove the hub. Care must be taken driving it out, don't want to break the tab. Remove the bolts to the stone guard. You can rotate it to get to the four bolts securing the brake rotor. You don't have to take them out, just really loosen them. It will allow enough clearance to clear the bolt flanges. I used the lug nut with a nylon washer to pull the bolt home. Be sure to torque everything to spec. Took me only about 2 hours.
