Funny thing for mine is that when I did my clutch work and had it on the B2 position I took it up to see where the top end was figuring it would hit the rev limiter but at about 68 it sounded like she was far past any RPM I wanted to push it to so I questioned if these actually had a limiter. I ended that speed run as it didn't seem it was going do much more anyway. Now my Brute Force with the Dynatek CDI has the rev limiter set are 8900 but the Moto sounded like it was there or  a bit past that. Sound isn't the way to judge RPMs so it probably wasn't but it sure seemed that way at the time.

My DynoJet PCV has a tach read out when attached to the computer and its pretty close to the read on the dash. They do have a rev limiter. Just put her in neutral and hold the pedal to the floor. Youll here it kick in.

Nope..won't do that to an engine...especially a Chinese engine...but I did find the limiter..its like 7750. It Just feels like its much more...lol.

The engine is rock solid for me.
I beat the hell out of my Zforce every ride and the engine have never miss a beat and never take ANY oil in 3500 km. My clutch set up put the engine really close to the rev limiter in acceleration and i hit it sometime when the ground is too slipery. I have put my air/fuel ratio at 13.1 and the response is perfect. I have find my Z run lean from the factory

Oh mine runs perfect too. Never uses an oil and always stays perfectly clean. I just hear too many stories about spun bearings and piston problems so I just try and not push it that far. And in all honesty it may well be too lean. That is what's causing mine to struggle to get to the limiter. My plugs are almost pure white and no deposits on them. And I have opened up the exhaust a bit as well as the intake so it probably is closer to 15:1 or more..just guessing...even at this altitude. Might have to get a meter and check that.

Here i have never seen a 800 with a blow motor. I have only read it online and i think its all related to the very poor oem air filter. I have seen a ZForce 800 2014 with 17,000 km this summer and the engine have never been open. Only one secondary clutch and one front diff. Not too bad for this high mileage. Anyway, i will continue to ride my sxs the same way and repair if it blow. i dont want to make compromis when i find some time to ride !

Mine only goes 54mph and the last time I tried a full speed run she cut out on a duel carriage way so didn't try that again, may give her another go on a quieter road, not really an issue for me as I rarely go above 45mph

Me either. I almost never go over 50mph and no one I ride with does either....except for now Jogon30 has a harder time keeping his new YXZ under 50...lol

Try with a GPS ...

I'm fully aware speedo's can be off a couple to ridiculous mph. Not a greenhorn to motorized toys(sled's, wheelers, dirt bikes, street bikes and boats). Just stating what my buggy said. There's free current speed apps available for phones that are very accurate, just haven't gotten around to downloading one on the new phone. Actually, I'll do that now lol.

Adkmoto, let us Know the gps number when you try it. Our speedometer are ajustable. Before my speedo top at 123 km/h (GPS 108 km/h)
Now it is 100% accurate 108 km/h on the speedo and 108 km/h on the GPS

I dont know if this helps but I've never seen over 6900 on the factory tach (hit the left button on the dash twice) and I've seen speeds on the speedo of 70-71mph on a flat run and 74-75 mph on a slight downhill. Of course that's the just the speedo, not gps.I have a GPS speedo on my phone I'll use next time I run. I have the EX 60" and it's plenty stable at those speeds in a straight line and slight curves. I've done an air box snorkel with a UNI filter and opened the exhaust a bit but no tuner yet. I dont like pushing out that far as I've smelled the belt pushing it like that. What I want is more low end grunt and throttle response as most wheeling is done below 40mph with our terrain anyway. How are the speedo's adjustable?

If you want A LOT more low end grunt and more response, definitely go with the race kit.
