service panel hole?

What is the other hole for in the rear service panel?  The one furthest towards the rear of the vehicle. Just a threaded hole with nothing in it??
Anyone know what size and threads fit it?

It is for a spare tire so I would think its a 10mm x 1.25. Just guessing though.
