Seats
« on: January 20, 2017, 08:21:12 AM »
I can't believe this hasn't been brought up. I searched the whole forum. I love my ZForce and I have it ALMOST perfect. I really don't like the seats. They lean too far back, no lumbar support, and poor cushioning. After riding 10 hours last weekend I can say this for certain. Is there a alternative? I know RZRs have all kinds of aftermarket seats.

I think you can adapt most any seat to the base as long as the width is about the same. I added some spacers to the upper back mount bolts to tip it forward a bit, increased the rear slots on the base to get some additional backward movement and added some spacers to the rear seat mounts to get some more forward back adjustment. Someday...if I find some nice seats at a price I don't mind....I'll replace these.

As a direct fit I'm not sure but if your handy with a welder you could make a bracket to fit whatever you like (almost)

Hmm, I actually like the seats, I moved it back as far as I could as I am 6'3 but I have a bad back and haven't really had an issue yet. I mean of course they could be softer but they tend to not put a lot of cushion in race or off road seats so if you crash the amount of give doesn't let you fall out.

If you dont like the Zforce seats then you wont like the RZR seats.  they are almost identical.  All other seat options are $$$$$$ take your pick though from Twisted Stitch seats, Beard, or any other of the big name brands.  They all cost a ton.

Agreed, rzr seats are not any better. Only option may be finding a wrecked Mitsubishi Lancer EVO and adapting the base to it.  Those are about as close to SXS seats with a very slight margin of comfort.
Just a thought.

I agree doing something like that is possible.  But you will also be going up A LOT in weight.  IMO its not worth it.

To the OP -  if you dont like the angle of the seats you can put a washer/spacer between the seat base and the seat at the back 2 mounting points and that will roll it forward.  That might fix the issues you have with them.
