Seat belt
« on: September 23, 2019, 08:19:04 AM »
Hello All,
I'm having a problem with the seat belts in my 2017 Zforce 800 trail.  I've done some reading to see what people have done to fix this somewhat common issue.  I've seen people have gone to 4 point harnesses, but I don't mind the 3 point and would like to see if anyone has replaced any of the existing parts to take care of the problems?  I appreciate the help.

The only thing I had with mine was that dirt and dust would make the latch stick and the roller not want to retract sometimes. Some compressed air and dry spray lube would help that. The thing I didn't like about them other then they don't really hold you in well on a roll-over is the ratchets would always lock on any bump or woop making it hell on my shoulder. I replaced mine with some 4=points from SATV but after a while my wife didn't like hers so I put the 3-point back on her side only.

The thing I don't like is on my factory 4 point seatbelt the shoulder straps are hard mounted and hold me right back in the seat, which means I cannot reach the SATV flip windshield handle when the windshield is open, the shoulder straps hold me back.
I saw a guy's RzR this weekend that has retracting spools on both belts, driver and passenger, four in all. That would be good.

When I do wear my 4-point, I leave the shoulder straps loose enough to lean forward enough to do all those tasks...however I also know that's too loose to be the best protection. I just remember that all it has to do is keep me inside the roll cage...and I have to stay inside it.
