I usually ride grass ditches or dirt trails, no rock crawling. The side of the tire reads to run the tire pressures at 22 PSI and the owner's manual says to run them at 10 1/2 PSI in the rear and 9 1/2 PSI in the front. What do you guys run yours at? Mind feels pretty sloppy on the gravel roads at low tire pressure. So we're going to try to pump them up to 22. Just wondering if there's any issues with that. But I would think not.

The tires will all but stop absorbing impacts and will transfer most everything to the frame through the shocks and a-arms. Not only will the ride be unbelievably harsh, the shocks will run much hotter and the a-arm bushings will wear three times as fast. Not to mention all the things that will start loosening-up from all the additional transfer and..you might also start to see welds on the frame show signs of fatigue. Rusting on those welds is one sign. But...you say you run smoother stuff...so maybe you can stand a little more.

I run 27" 8-ply radials and never exceed 9psi. 7.5 - 8.5 mostly. If I had kept those POS Abuzz 2-ply tires, I would probably have to run 10-12 but no more.

Good to know. We're riding all next week so I'll take note of the vibration.

Well how did the tires do? What psi did you settle on?
