I have a 2013 CF Moto Z6-EX with just over 1,700 miles.  It runs fine when the temperature gauge registers two or under.  Once it warms up and hits 3, the engine bogs downs, and you have to play with the gas pedal to keep it running.  Sometimes it will die, but starts right back up.  When the temperature drops back down to two, it will start running good again until it happens all over again.  The machine has plenty of antifreeze, a full tank of gas, installed a new air filer before I went out for a ride, the fan is working properly, and there are no trouble codes flashing.   Anyone know what might be causing the problem?

Here's a link to a video so you can hear what's happening:

That's interesting. It acts like at some point either the fuel supply is hampered or the ignition voltage falls below what it takes to charge the coils. And interestingly the third bar on mine is where the fan comes on. You say the fan is running fine. So..maybe that draw is dropping the power to the ECU or fuel pump because of a bad connection somewhere...and these things are known for that-especially in the fuse block. I would start there.  There was also a report of something like this that was caused by a bad glass main fuse that is located at or behind the battery.

Thanks for the quick reply! I was thinking something related to the fuel. I'll check my connections and the fuse and see what I can find when I get home.

follow your fuel lines also and make sure that they are not to close to any heat source.  I have seen it on other machines where you will actually boil the fuel in the line and cause issues like this.
I can imagine a world completely at peace.  A world where there are no weapons, no war, and no violence at all.  And I can imagine us taking over that world because they would never expect it.

I have had the hot fuel thing before on another machine. Not sure where this would happen on the Z6, but worth a look to make sure.

I got told the fuel pumps die and can't keep the pressure up. so it bogs down

If it is the pump than put a pressure gage on it and find out. Looks easy to get to and replace if that is your issue.

I was thinking the fuel pump too.  I called the dealer and they said the fuel pressure should be around 43 psi. Upon checking mine it is only reading 28 psi. So I'm heading to the dealer today to get a fuel pump and see if that fixes it.

Picked up the new fuel pump, installed it, and checked the psi. It read 43 like the dealer said it should. Took it back in the mountain here in WV and it did fine. The temperature gauge went to 3, the fan kicked on and the machine didn't bog down. I'm fairly sure the problem is fixed! I'll know more once I take it out on a longer ride when it's warmer and not raining.

I suppose it's like any of them. Pull the supply line off, attach a fuel pressure gauge and turn the key on.
