hi, how do I go about checking the fuel pump pressure, iv got the same sort of problems but worse, I had the fuel pump changed a while back because it failed completely, at times mines wont even tick over when warmed up.
I suppose it's like any of them. Pull the supply line off, attach a fuel pressure gauge and turn the key on.
that's what I thought unit I tried buying a gauge that goes up to 43 bar, or have I read that wrong and its 4.3 bar,

Far as I know it's only like 43psi. Not sure where the "Bar" came from.

Picked up the new fuel pump, installed it, and checked the psi. It read 43 like the dealer said it should. Took it back in the mountain here in WV and it did fine. The temperature gauge went to 3, the fan kicked on and the machine didn't bog down. I'm fairly sure the problem is fixed! I'll know more once I take it out on a longer ride when it's warmer and not raining.
Hi WVGuy11
I have the same problem, did replacing fuel pump ever fixed the problem
Thanks

I am happy to have found this blog. The description of the problem is exactly what my machine is doing. I have checked the entire charging system and it is fine. I have serviced the machine and it is all fine. I was about to check the fuel pressure when I broke the elbow at the top of the pump. I have ordered a new elbow and will check the fuel pressure when I get it installed. I will update this blog after I have some results.

The fuel pressure was about 22 lbs. The manual says it should be about 43 lbs. I installed a new pump and the pressure now reads about 42 lbs. The machine now starts and operates like new.
