Anyone had to deal with Warranty issues, I broke my rear shock, it came unscrewed .
Unit sits with the dealer waiting on parts Sind's July now.
Had to bring it in its with the dealer for a month.
I'm wondering if one of you had this experience ?
I have a zforce 950 sport HO under 200 hours on it.

Thanks Adriaan

I’ve dealt with warranty a few times most minor issues I just requested the parts an put them on when they came in
Had to wait a few weeks sometimes depending on stock but
I knew if it was covered in a day or 2

Had a rebuild done an after they got approval it was done in 2 weeks

You just need to call an see if the work is covered an get a eta on parts an return time it should only take a day or 2 for them to know if it is or not

Well they said it was warranty, but that's 4 weeks at least , and they will not give me an ETA

I'd request the part number and get on the computer/phone and find it yourself. I've had to do that numerous times in the past with auto parts back-ordered. Within a few hours I've always been able to locate what's missing.

The same thing happened to my 950. The shock (right rear) completely came apart. The bottom mount unscrewed and it came apart on the trail. No warning. CF Moto covered it. Just took a while to get the new (replacement shock) in.

Now, I periodically check (kind of a pre-flight check) the shocks to ensure the shaft shows no threads where it screws into the mount. You just have to slide the bump stop up from the bottom to see if there are any threads showing (indicating the shaft is starting to unscrew from the mount). There is another thread on here where I put pictures of the failure.

2023 Z950 Sport, 300 miles - From mile one, would not engage park most of the time (gear indicator on screen would be blank). When it did engage in park it would often get stuck, would have to rock the machine quite a bit, back and forth, to get it out of Park. Low gear would not fully engage most of the time (even though it indicated it was on the gear indicator) resulting in some frequent loud and embarrassing grinding. Often times had to fiddle a lot for Low to actually engage and sometimes had to give up. At 300 miles driver door stopped opening, passenger door began sticking as well.

Long story short, bought the machine (my first off-road vehicle) two weeks before a planned ride in the U.P. Was hoping the beginning issues with the transmission were because it was new and was still breaking in. Those issues persisted in addition to the door issues throughout the U.P. ride. dropped it off at the dealer week 3 of ownership on my way home from the U.P. ride. Dealership has had it since (three weeks to the day). Finally talked to a service rep who said the CVT belt had to be replaced (after only 300 miles!) and they are currently waiting on the door cables to be delivered.

So it does appear parts are taking a while. I'm also sweating bullets about how the machine will hold up long term. Is it going to keep eating belts or was it delivered with one poorly installed? I could really use some encouragement. This all sounds like it will be very expensive post warranty (90 days on belts supposedly).

It's not likely there really is a belt issue as these last many thousands of miles if treated right..but if it was installed out of alignment or has been idling high enough to slightly engage the belt, that would not only damage the belt quickly if you were sitting at idle for long periods, but would also apply that slight power/force to the transmission making it hard to shift in and out of positions. They need to check the idle air control valve..which CFM has had lots of issues with, and the shifter linkage for detent alignment. The door...probably just needed an adjustment.

These gen-2s actually have been quite good and dependable. Some have minor issues but usually easily fixed. Hang in there..get it fixed...get yourself a service manual and gain understanding.

Besides..Dirt Trax is giving them a thumbs-up.  :)

Thank you, NMKawierider!

Finally got my machine back from the dealer on Saturday 10/14/23. After almost six weeks of waiting on the door cable (which is still on backorder from CFM) the dealer was able to take one off of a newly delivered machine and used it to replace mine. Work order also confirmed the CVT belt was replaced but none of the techs knew why and the tech that performed the belt replacement wasn't there to ask. A couple weeks and a few hundred miles of ownership already led to a belt replacement and seemingly indefinite backorders, that makes me very uneasy. I've only had time for a twenty minute ride around my neighborhood since getting it back but Low gear seems to engage better. I also submitted CFM's "survey" and listed my issues and concerns with no response. I may email customer service one of these days as I'm still upset about paying for a machine that has so far spent more time in the shop than my own garage (with the warranty clock ticking the whole time it was sitting), not to mention I am still waiting on the "Overhead Storage Compartment" that I ordered with the machine.

I hope the rest of you are having better luck and more fun!
