There are problems with almost every part in the kit:

1) The front A-arm protectors have mounting holes in the wrong place and do not fit the a-arms AT ALL.
2) The holes in metal A-arm protectors do not align with the CV joint plastic protectors.
3) The front protector that goes over the winch is supposed to be fitted with extremely long 70mm bolts and a spacer, however a) the bolts are too long, b) the bolt on the right interferes with the winch motor, and thus cannot be used.
4) The front under body part has 4 holes in the correct place, and two are not in the correct place.
5) The large black part of the center mounting kit does not fit.  It is supposed to be fitted with 2 large M10 bolts, however the holes in the black part do not align with the chassis brace, so it's impossible to get the bolts though the part and the chassis.
6) There are two small black parts that go over the frame rails, however it is impossible to hold them in place, if you let go of them they fall out.  You cannot hold a) the main front-center protector, b) the left and c) the right part in place.  You cannot access the parts from above as the footwells obstruct the black parts. and you cannot hold the black parts from underneath as the main protect also obstructs access to the parts.  This is a DESIGN FLAW.
7) The large black part of the center mounting kit has 3 holes for M8 bolts, however the slotted holes that align with them are sized for M6 bolts, thus you cannot insert the M8 bolts though the holes.

Additionally, using HEX bolts is a TERRIBLE idea, since they a) will get filled with mud and dirt, b) will get damaged by rocks and be hard to remove during servicing.  The original 10mm bolts used by CF moto are the right kind of fasteners to use in this application.

I wasted about 5 hours in all on this so far, and I am still to go though the refund process...

Absolute nightmare, no excuses for this many failures.

AVOID THIS MANUFACTUER, THEIR QA IS *SHOCKING*.

We are Rival Dealers here in the States, and I've had a look at what's gone wrong for you. I sent your post to Brian Miller, the CEO of Rival Powersports USA, for review, and he would be happy to help you further, even though you have ordered from Rival in Europe.
My thoughts after reviewing the installation instructions are that there is so much going on here that I think you must have either received the incorrect skid plate or ordered it incorrectly.

Thanks for the reply,  yes there was indeed so many faults and issues.

I have sent the whole lot back for a full refund.

I certainly did NOT order the wrong kit.  indeed, the paperwork that came with the kit had the correct model number and a picture of the same buggy that I have on it.  I can only assume the QA and shipping department made serious errors.

Certainly I shall never trust Rival Power Sports kits and parts again, once bitten, twice shy...

Fair enough dominicc74. Anybody reading this post though, just remember this was nothing to do with Rival Powersports USA and the OP had gone with a Rival outlet in Europe. Things go wrong sometimes and it's how the dealer or distributor handles it that will leave the most impression. Look after your customers and they will look out for you again.
