Just purchased a 2021 zforce 950 sport and am trying to install a stage 2 MSC clutch kit. Removed the left hand thread nut and bolt holding on the primary clutch, but It won't slide off the shaft. Every video I see online they just slide off due to spring pressure, but I can't get mine to budge. Any tips on getting it off? I tried tapping it but don't want to bang on it too hard to break it loose.

You must use a puller to get the main body off the shaft. You can take all the other parts off by removing the nut...like the cam plate, weights, movable sheave, spring, bearing and the shims...and that's all you need to remove to install their kit parts. But to get the non-movable part off, you will need the puller. DO remember to re-torque those two exactly as per the manual.

This is the puller:

None of the other parts are coming off the shaft like you mentioned. I'm not trying to remove the entire thing, just the front portion off the shaft to get to the weights and spring. None of it will slide off once the nut and bolt are off.

If the bolt and the nut are removed, the cam plate and the rest should just slide off. Just like this:

Should but aren't. I'm not sure what it's hanging up on. Probably going to try a 3 jaw and see if it'll pop off with light pressure. Pulled and tapped around it with a mallet and didn't help.

Take a look at the hex on the ramp/cam plate and see if it looks like its rotated on the spindle..kinda partly stripped or rounded-over. If so, tap it back and it will slide off. That part will have to be replaced though.

Clean-up the end good, take a close-up clear photo of it and post it here so we can see it.
