Hi,
does anyone know what happens if I remove the 2 washers  from the first pulley?

Distance between the two decreases and the belt makes contact with the pulleys at idle...I do believe.

If those washers/spacers were left out then like NMK says the primary clutch sheaves would be closer together. it looks like the CVT might then not have enough slack and might drive while idling (its a dry clutch) and if it did idle freely, the range of the CVT would be taller overall.
It would have a faster low speed limit and a corresponding faster high end... until the secondary clutch closed as far as it could, limiting further upshift, or the belt might rise dangerously high in the primary at shift-out and then possibly contact the inside of the belt box.  While I wouldn't recommend doing that, I'd like to stand back and see. :)
