I see the metal one wraps up around the edges to act as nerf bars as well. Do any of the polymer ones do this? I like the idea of the light weight and slick plastic. But want that edge protection as well. I believe Nerf bars get in the way of over sized tires? So which skid plate are y'all going with?

I have an 800 XC, I went with the aluminum and have not had any issues with them, the only thing I have noticed is that it is difficult to get the muck cleaned off the top of them. I also have a RZR 800, 2-seat, that I went with the UHMW plastic. I have had no issues with that plate either. I will tell you that the UHMW does flex, on the RZR it flexed one time enough for me to feel the floorboard of the RZR lift where my left foot was. It probably flexed 1 - 2 inches to do that. I have never had the UHMW hang up on anything. I also had a Kawasaki 650 ATV that I had aluminum skid plates on. I was very rough on the Kawasaki and took it through stuff that I had no business taking it through. I never had the aluminum plate hang up on anything. I did bend it in a few places and scratched the living daylights out of it, but never had it hang up on anything. Honestly, if I had a 4-seat SXS, I would probably go with the UHMW.

We make a killer 1/2" UHMW skid for the 4 seat.
