A search on the internet, and this site including CFmoto's web site, and I can not find any info on the Warranty. I seen a picture of a new SXS with a 5 year warranty sign hanging from the cage, but it seemed to be in Canada. What is the standard warranty period in the US on a 18 or 19 CFmoto Zforce?

I believe the 5-year warranty is only in Canada. In the US is one year still. Just call your dealer to confirm.

Is that it? Not sure, it was the only thing that makes sense. Why would Canada get 5, and not the US? If they only want to give out a 1 year warranty in the US, then they would want that everyplace. Some sort of Canadian regulation is the only thing I can think of that might require more warranty there.

Are you saying all ORV manufactures & distributors in Canada have to provide a 5 year warranty? So in Canada Polaris, Canned Ham, Yamaha, Honda, Arctic Cat & who ever else offers a 5 year warranty? Or just CFMOTO?

How about this one, each distributor may have some freedom to spec a product specifically for them. As an example a Cdn ZF comes with 4 pt harnesses std, signals, horn & mirror's & a 5yr Ltd power train wtty. Your US model will have a roof as std equipment, the Cdn model does not. Possibly in Canada the distributor decided to build in the price cost of 5 yr wtty., it's not free if that is what your thinking.

What I am saying is if they are willing to give a 5 year warranty in Canada, why not in the US? The product is essentially the same. They should be just as confident to put the same warranty on their product no matter where they sell it. I was just asking if there is a regulation in Canada for consumer protection that requires them to warranty products longer. I seen where someone with a new Subaru in Canada had a 7 year factory warranty, which is greater than we get here in the states. Even in the US it is not uncommon for one state to require more insurance coverage value, while other states require less, or some states have lemon laws on vehicles, while others do not.
Ultimately I was just curious why Canada would get 5 times the coverage given here. It can't just be marketing. If that was the case, I am sure the bean counters would axe a 5 year coverage.

If a distributor such as the Canadian one chooses to include it in the retail price all that means is it's buried in the retail price....marketing makes you think it's free because consumers like free stuff. Consumers think they are getting a deal  The price did go up because the 5yr wtty is included, you the consumer don't see......so it appears to be a deal.

Warranty is no different than live insurance, there is a pot of money & as long as they are more people living than dying there is money in the pot. If the trend reverses then you are going to pay more for your life insurance or warranty.

There is nothing risky or magical, it's numbers & math.......more importantly there is nothing free. Business needs to make money in order for life insurance or life warranty or vehicle warranty/insurance to work.

That's not true & if it is in your area it will be spelled out clearly. In Canada the first year warranty covers many items including the ECU, I'm sure the US is the same.

It includes diff's, engine & transmission, you have the option to convert that to a 3 or 5yr end to end wtty. The base warranty included first year end to end, then you have the balance of 48 months ltd power train.

Thank you for your response. The CFmoto US site gives no information whatsoever about warranty, or at least I could not find it. Your statement makes sense now as I just spoke with the dealer I will be buying from about it yesterday. He said the same thing, that it is reflected in a higher price for Canada. His immediate answer to my question is that it is requirement to offer more warranty in Canada. But of course CFmoto is not going to do it for free. But as long as they stand by their warranty, it does say they truly believe in their product. I have yet to find any real negative things about any of the machines. A few things, but nothing crazy. Now I just have to decide between the 500 trail, and 800 trail. The 500 does seem a little underpowered compared to the base rzr with is over 200 lbs lighter, and has 8 more horsepower, so I may go to the 800.

Well either way, I am going to buy one or the other. I am leaning toward the 800 trail now that I have researched both. As for the Warranty, I think the 1 year is better than the 6 month warranty I got from polaris on my Ranger 570.
