Hi guys, can the timing chain be replaced without removing the clutch cover and variator?

I can't tell you as I don't even know which side the chain is on. I would consult the service manual. I can tell you that if the cam chain is on the same side as the clutches, it is unlikely it can be done without full removal...of all of it.
