Primary Clutch

I have trying to remove my primary clutch in order to change my belt. There seems to be an 18mm bolt with a 32mm nut behind it. Neither of these will budge in either direction. I would like to know if one or both is a left handed thread and is there an easy method to removing the clutch.

Oddly, I believe they are both left-hand threaded. There is a video in the how-to video section called CF500 clutch removal on this I believe. You will need a spanner tool...or something to hold the clutch.

Are you sure you have to remove the primary to replace the belt?

On a 500 I am told you do not. Just expand the secondary, do the R&R, then remove the expander bolt. Thanks for catching that Doug80638.
