Shifting hard
« on: July 26, 2021, 09:03:25 PM »
I have a 2020 it was making a chattering noise so I changed the belt and the one way bearing.  Now it is shifting hard and has almost like a clattering noise coming from the front of it sounds like it’s coming from under the gas tank.  Could it be time for a new clutch?  Is it hard to do?  I guess it doesn’t help my sink it pretty good.

What prompted you to replace the one-way and belt?
Did they test bad?
Did you install an OEM belt?
One-way installed in the correct direction?
How did the plates look? Smooth or rough?
Did the chattering stop or change after the change?

Before my son sunk it it had a chattering noise when giving it gas.  So I talked to our local dealer and suggested it was a belt.  No they didn%u2019t sell me a one belt. The bearing I changed because after changing the belt it when out in get gear it would want to take off on its own. Yes the bearing is on the right direction. I called CF Moto to check before I installed it.

I'm not sure I understand that last post but "suggesting" is not the same as diagnosing.

Did you use an OEM  belt? Was the original one-way bearing binding up or spinning freely in the correct direction?

Could you identify the source of the chattering when the cover was off?
