35 Miles on the ATV. The first week of light use everything worked fine. This past Friday (today is Sunday) it wouldn't start. Just fast clicking. 11.42 volts. Spoke to the dealer and they mentioned the battery may not have been fully charged before sending it out. I charged the battery overnight. 13.18 Volts yesterday morning. We rode appx 8 miles total and at the end of the day it wouldn't start again. Same fast clicking. 11.38 volts. I charged the battery again over night and ran 6 miles today. I turned the machine off and tried to start it right away to replicate the issue. Same thing fast clicking and back to low voltage. I do not get a voltage increase when the machine is running. Looking like the machine isn't charging the battery when its running. Any ideas where to look before I make the drive back to the dealer? Side note I  bought an 800XC Friday. Now I'm really second guessing if I should buy a third one in another week.

Whats the voltage when running? Needs to be above 14...like 14.4+. If it is above 13.7 and below 12.5 before running, have the battery load tested...it's probably a bad one. If after charging and sitting an hour its above 12.5 and running isn't much more, the charging system has an issue. Stator or rectifier/regulator.

I boosted it to get it running (was around 11.5 volts). While running the voltage stayed at or below 11.5.

It either has an open cell or something is toast with the charging system. Pull the battery, charge it fully. Let it sit a couple of hours. If it's still at or above 12.6, have it load tested at any auto parts place. If it falls below 12.5..get another battery for sure cause that one has a problem. But it's problem may be from a bad charging system so..if you don't read 14.4..ish or higher when running, test the stator and the rectifier/regulator.

If it's running and not putting out any voltage, the charging system is not functioning. It could be as simple as a loose wire or as serious as needing a new magneto.

I'm guessing it will be something simple. Let the dealer handle it.

Agreed...it's new and under warranty..take it in. Let us know what they find.

Was really hoping to not have to drive it back in. I've been all over the place the last two weeks for these. Two bikes two different dealers and picking up a 3rd this week.

I haven't picked it up yet but they said it was a fuse. It must be a hidden one because all the ones I saw were good.

Glad to hear it was something simple.

Have them give you a tour of all the fuse and relay locations when you pick it up :-)

I have same problem with my 2021 600 2uo touring!  Just wondering if you can tell me where that fuse might be .

50 Amp relay fuse infront of battery, put spare one in atv is charging fine now. Must have been bad relays from factory,atv only had 20 kms on it. You think dealers should check voltage when  they pdi units.
