rims and tires
« on: March 21, 2022, 12:59:57 PM »
Hey everybody, new 600 Touring and I am having some trouble with the stock tires in the mud (more like wet slick ground) looking to upgrade to bigger rims as well. Any recommendations on lightweight rim/tire combinations? FYI we do more all around riding but am not afraid of the mud, just not drowning the quad just yet lol

FWIW-
Go to YouTube and put in MainStreet Cycle.  IIRC the main dude is Blake.  They have a ton of ACTUAL use/test info about wheels, tires, clutch kits to make bigger/different tires work and so on.

They have done a lot of tire and dyno testing together and have some REAL results tht most dealers do not have a clue.  I am not connected to them, no paid endorsements, just passing info.

I have 600T and I want it to "MOVE" sooner than revving up so high, maybe 26" or 27" tires max.  Any bigger means wheel spacers, and far more stress/wear on suspension.  These guys have answers and suggestions.  I notice that a few of their prices are "higher" than other dealers, but something has to pay for that dyno and all the work they do.  This is the only link I saved, but you can go from there by clicking on their name, etc.

YMMV
