Hi all,

New owner here of a 2022 600 Cforce Touring. I did a 26 mile ride yesterday with my 16 yr old son on the back. Some some light hills, flat out trails. The cooling appeared to hover around 3 bars. Just so I'm aware when should I be hearing the fan kick on or should I?

My buddy has a Yamaha Grizzly 660 I rode with and even when he finishes a good long ride with us, after he turns it off his fan is running. Maybe that's his machine and I shouldn't compare, but again so I know what to hear or look for to assure all is working fine since it's new and under warranty.

Thank you!

The normal range is within the three-bar area. If you get into the 4-bar range...and more.. without hearing the fan come on, have it checked-out. Also if that does happen you want to start moving quickly without any more load then necessary to ram air through the radiator to cool the coolant returning to the engine. Some just shut it off but that stops the flow and the heat in the cylinder head is not reduced that quickly. If you have to..do it, but if you can ram some air through the radiator...like the fan would, that's always better.

Thank you. I rode 50 miles today and still didn't hear it come on, but then again it never got to 4 bars on the temp gauge. :)

I would recommend replacing all the cheap factory fuses with newer better quality ones.  I got a 21' in November.  Had it overheat once due to a blown fuse.  Pretty sure it's fairly common for these to pop without people realizing leading to a blown head gasket.  Personally I'm looking to add a blown fuse indicator to the dash to help know when somethings up.

If you ride around at 5-8 mph the fan should come on in ten minutes or so.

I think my 2019 600 touring doesn`t come until 4 bars.
