Out for another ride on Sunday, this one was solo. Ended up being a nice day for the ride, started in the low 20's and ended in the 30's, but during the day it got into the low 50's. Went to a familiar area because the last time I was in the area I saw a side road I wanted to ride that I hadn't noticed before. The roads (it forked into a couple of different ones a little ways in) ended up being kind of duds, nothing really interesting on them. Oh well, now I know. The animals were pretty cooperative, within the first few miles of the ride I ran across a group of does, then about 300 yards down the road there were another 2. The next animals were a small group of cow elk. The elk were a fair distance away, so the zoomed in photo is not great, but it was still nice to see them and get a photo. I rode to the pond area just to see what the ice was doing since we have been unseasonably warm here, the ice was turning to slush on the top. I found the remnants of an unlucky rabbit at the pond. The last animal was a single buck, it was already getting dark, so the photo is kind of grainy. Rode about 11 hours total and covered about 65 miles. Here are some photos.

Second deer

Thought it was interesting the way the steel tire cords all just laid together like that after being burned
