Got out for a ride Sunday. My buddy was only 4 1/2 hours late this time. Started and ended cold (sunrise and sunset), but the day was nice. One deer and a small herd of elk were cooperative. The elk were moving away from me, so the photos are kind of blurry. The snow around the pond area is starting to melt pretty fast with the warmer weather we have been having. The pond is still frozen over though. The ice is now slick since the snow cover is off of it, so I didn't venture very far on it (on foot, I won't ride the machine on there, although I have seen others do it in the past). The shady area still have some decent snow cover, which is a good thing. Visited the Goblin Rocks Colony, there are also a lot of Hoodoos there, I haven't been there in a while. I will only be able to get in a couple more rides (hopefully) before they close the gates for the season.
