Newport NH ride
« on: August 21, 2017, 03:19:01 PM »
Tried to ride the Sugar River trail but the gates were too tight, so went over to the Sullivan County ATV Club trails to try out the new shock adjustments on the z800 Trail.

I will say that the engine brake on these machines make for great control going down steep declines.

I'm no photographer, but I've included a few pix. Any hints on how to take better photos that show the true incline/decline of the trail?

Nice shots. I have always wrestled with getting the angle of decants or accents to be more true-looking in videos and in stills. The one thing I learned is fight the urge to shoot up or down the trail. Its looks more level because of how the image was taken and how the brain sees it. Try to get your shots having the camera as level as possible or the view straight out from the lens as level with the horizon as possible. That doesn't always work well with seeing the top of the bottom of some hills but it does give a more true view of how steep it is. Might need to tale a few steps back. It will look more like what you saw with your eye.
