Finally got to do a short ride, first of the year for me.  Unfortunately it had to be another solo ride.  Not quite as much fun winching yourself out when you are by yourself.  Hopefully the photos work. After getting stuck and pulling myself out I decided to go an area with a little less snow.  So far really pleased with the 800XC.

Definitely a little more snow that I thought there would be.  More than I really wanted to try to continue to go through.  Sadly, this is the only ATV that I don't have a winch on the back of, so I had to pull myself through, turn around and had winch myself back through it.  At least the return trip I made it most of the way before having to winch out.  I think the next purchase for it will be a winch for the rear.

You know...those stock Abuz tires that come on these look good but mine stranded me three times on stuff no one else's did. Went to the Reapers and never got stopped again. Just say'n :) Lots better tires out there. They work so well in snow my buddies make me break-trail.

Thanks, BTW I meant to say thank you for setting up the Imgur account for this forum, it makes posting photos much easier!

Good info on the tires.  I was pretty impressed with them my first few rides.  They did fine for the most part, but once I broke through the crust on the snow that was all she wrote.  I'll have to check out the Reapers.  I'm not sure that anything else I have would have done much, if any, better though.

Good. I'm just saying there are better tires out there then the abuzz. They are better then a lot of others that come stock on machines though. Get some use out of them. For me and my heavier Z and also riding alone sometimes I thought it a prudent move to get something else.

I will definitely run the stock tires for the summer, I think they would be fine for that.  Come winter I will probably choose to swap them out.  Thanks for the info on the tires, I am needing new tires for my Polaris 450 and I will probably give the Reapers a serious look.  The Polaris is my primary winter ATV (because it has the plow).
