The forest opened on the 11th, but I was unable to ride that weekend. I got out this past Saturday. The only area still closed was directly affected by the fire and it's supposed to open back up on the 11th of August. I took the RZR instead of the 800XC to give my ribs a little more time. We have been getting decent rains in the mountains here over the past few weeks, so everything was green again and there were puddles in the normal places, so that was nice to see. My riding buddy was late as usual, so I had about 8 hours of riding solo. Took a road that I haven't ridden in over 15 years, it was kind of overgrown. I got to use my battery powered little chainsaw, but got it stuck in a log (a logger, I am not) and had to use a bottle jack to free the saw. I was able to get the saw free and finish clearing the fallen tree off the road. Got some rain while we were riding, enough to drain off the roof of the RZR onto the phone.....and so much for the iPhone 16 being waterproof, I am now waiting for a new phone. Fortunately I was able to save the photos that I had already taken before the phone died. Here are the photos of the ride, I did see some deer, but that is when I discovered my phone was no longer functioning, so I couldn't get any photos. I only covered about 55 - 60 miles.
Thanks to NMKawierider for the suggestion of the seat pads, I put one on the seat and one against the seat back and it made a pretty big difference.

Chainsaw stuck in the log, this was before I moved the bottle jack to where I put the rock to lift the log better.

First storm moving in.

3rd round of rain moving in, this is the last photo I was able to take.
