Went out for the first real time this weekend. Solo ride, which is pretty much all I'll get to do anymore.  Covered about 50-60 miles.  Nice day, started out chilly and ended chilly.  Water from the runoff in the Jemez Mtns is still flowing really well.  Ran across an angry piece of equipment, I guess it doesn't like being bolted to the floor in it's tiny brick home.   ;D  Apparently I had something on my lens that created the purple streak in the photo though.

Nice! My friend and I were just talking about a ride up there pretty soon. Looks like the snows have pretty much melted-off on most areas. Reports say that all our mountain areas got 100% and+ their normal average snow fall this year so it's bound to be a great spring.

I was a little surprised by how much of the snow had already melted given the amount they got this year.

Nice! I was wondering if the Jemez was rideable yet. Jemez central said all the forest roads were still closed. Where in the Jemez was that. if you don't mind me asking?

Jemez Central said they got 120 inches of snow this year which is nearly twice the amount they got last year and more than they've gotten in the last 15 years. Should be a great year for camping, maybe we will be able to have an actual wood fire this year!!

That's what I'm hoping for, unfortunately there has been a lot of wind to speed the drying out.

Right now it's snowing again, I'm sure it won't stick for long though.  All the moisture is good.

Thanks.  I'm in the Jemez Mountains in NM.  I used to live up in the mountains, now I live in White Rock, which is basically at the base of the mountains.  Biggest issue is now I have to trailer everything instead of just heading out from my garage.
