This time my buddy was only 4 hours late to the ride. The mountains had gotten a dusting of snow the night before, so the ride started out a little cold, but it was still good. Made for some nice photos of the ice on the trees (found out that is called "rime ice") and a nice shot of the Valles Caldera with fog settled down in it. Saw some deer right away, but couldn't get a photo, as well as some elk. Elk don't tend to be too cooperative when it comes to photos, so I'm happy when I do get a photo, but not this ride. I did catch them on my Go-Pro though. I did see some deer later in the ride and they did hang around long enough for a few photos. The day ended up being very nice, was able to shed a layer of clothing through the day, but had to put it back on towards the evening. Covered right about 70 miles in 13 hours of riding. Took a few side roads that I haven't been on, none of them really went anywhere, but that's part of the enjoyment of the ride. Here are some photos.
