I have run a bunch of U800s and all of them have the same hesitation just off of idle.  Some people saw it is clutching some say it is fuel.   We tried a new ECU off of a 2017 Z800.  FIXED!!!  It was like night and day.  We are contacting CF now to see if we can get this taken care of under warranty.  I will keep you updated.

Yes, they do have that hesitation unless you get right into them. Curious to hear how this comes out...

Perhaps the delay is there to prevent wear on a certain part the z800 doesn't have?

Just an idea anyway.  :-\

They share many of the same parts to include the motor and transmission.  What damage would a purposeful hesitation prevent?

What does a ZForce ECU cost?  Why can't the UForce ECU be remapped?

We replaced the ECU/ECM with the Z8 unit.  PROBLEM SOLVED.  Huge improvement.  part number 0800-174000-2000.  Anywhere from $285-$325 i would guess.

So was this fix warrantied, or not?

No luck with warranty but I feel like i heard someone say they got one warrantied a year or two go.  I don't know why they cannot reflash the ECU?  I know my wife's Accord had a reflash but I don't think it is common practice in the power sports industry.  I know Cat had done that years ago to some machines and I would imagine that some of the new Can Ams can.

Well............someone has to do it...........

I ordered the 0800-174000-2000 ECU and will put it in my U800.
It will be here ( Europe) in 2 weeks ( Alpha Sports ) Let's find out if the hick ups will stop.

Any update on this?

My 2018 UForce seems to be doing the same thing and its very annoying. I have to think that this would be "fixed" under warranty.

Bought a 2018 U Force 800 and having the same low speed bucking as the rest of you, working with my dealer who is going to CF  Moto and then if no luck I will go at them myself as this is clearly a CF Moto problem that should be covered. will let you know what I find out.

Track & Trace:

The ECU is shipped; now between Amerika and Europe. ( Amsterdam) It will be here within a week.
Due to the low $ and the high €, the part is under 300 USD all in.
